This Artist Combines Different Photos To Show Contrast of Western World and War-Torn Middle East

Using the split images to pictorially demonstrate the formidably serious difference between peaceful, fortunate societies and war-torn countries, has become the Turkish artist Ugar Gallenkus’s claim of fame. In his Juxtaposed images, the Istanbul based artist Gallenkus highlights the western visual culture, for instance, the portrait of aesthetically placed ice cream cone under the blazing wrecked city and Madonna and child; the hallmark of Christian iconography. Every composite image is telling the story of its own, displaying the striking tale of conflict and prosperity and its perpetual jarring effect on how people force to live and struggling in their own ways to survive vs. the very definition of people’s lives depending on habitat. With about a half and million followers on Instagram, Gallenkus has garnered global appreciation for how he has been crafting divided images for numerous years.
